October 2010

The Deveron, Bogie and Isla Rivers Trust have been appointed to produce the River Ythan Trust fishery management plan.  The plan needs to be prepared by the spring of 2011 and it will then be available for public consultation.  You can read more about the fishery management plan here.

August 2010

The River Ythan Trust has successfully applied for funding from the River and Fisheries Trusts of Scotland (RAFTS) to help them produce a fishery management plan.  The plan will look at the current state of the river and will include a series of proposals for future actions.  Contributions towards the cost of producing a plan have also been received from The Whitley Trust and the Aberdeen and District Angling Association.
